The Distance Education Application and Research Center (MAKU UZEM) of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University was established with the law numbered 27434 of the Official Gazette dated 16.12.2009.
The purposes of the center are as follows:
To carry out plans, programs and applications within the scope of all education and training programs and activities to be carried out remotely based on information communication technologies in our university.
- To eliminate the time and space limitations of higher education and spread it to new student masses.
- To deliver the knowledge produced in higher education to all interested parties, independent of time and space.
- To increase the success of education and training with the opportunities of the multi and interactive environment provided by technology.
- To support and contribute to interaction and cooperation between our university and national and international universities, institutions and organizations.
